The 2010 Annual Meeting will be held at the W Hotel in the Westwood District of Los Angeles. The clinical portion of the meeting will be hosted and held at UCLA School of Dentistry, thanks to the invitation from our own Dr. Richard Stevenson.

 

Registration for the MEETING may be done by completing the online PDF, printing and mailing or simply print out the manual registration form, fill it in and mail it to: AAGFO 1 Woods End Road, Etna, NH 03750. The "Fillable" form will automatically calculate the meeting fees. Fees may be paid by Visa, Mastercard, or check in US funds.

Tentative Events Schedule: 

Wednesday Oct 20th 

1:00 pm - 5:00 pm Welcome desk will be on the second floor.

2:00 pm - 5:00 pm Council Meeting Second Floor

6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Reception with light snacks and cash bar on the 2nd floor patio.

 

Thursday October 21st 

6:30 am - 8:30 am Buffet Breakfast [Continental plus yogurt/fruit and cereals].

8:00 am -12:00 pm Scientific Lectures.

12:00 pm Boxed picnic carry out lunch following lectures.

12:00 pm - 5:00 pm Activity events of your choice. Details and list will be mailed after you have registered.

6:00 pm ‘Dine Arounds’ at local eateries previously checked out. All restaurants are within easy walking distance to the hotel. Please form your groups. The sign up sheets will be available Wednesday and Thursday. All restaurants will provide separate checks PROVIDED that you announce this fact when you order.

 

Friday October 22nd 

6:30 am - 8:30 am Buffet Breakfast

8:30 am - Business meeting

9:00 am - Clinician of Year Presentation

9:40 am -11:00 am - Dr. Shi lecture, open to all who are interested.

Lunch and Dinner on your own [activity choices will be mailed].

 

Saturday October 23rd 

 6:30 am - 8:30 am Buffet Breakfast

 7:15 am - Clinicians walk to dental school

 7:45 am - Observers walk to dental school

12:30 pm – Lunch, CLINICIANS AND OBSERVERS ONLY AT UCLA

  1:30 pm - Dr.  Peter Shaw- lecture for attendees and students

  2:30 pm - Clinical Critique - Dr. and Mrs. Foltz.

  3:15 pm - Free time

  6:00 pm - Banquet Reception –followed by evening festivities.

 

Sunday October 24th 

Breakfast and departure on your own and at your leisure. Check out time is 12 Noon.

 

NOTE: THE BEFORE MENTIONED EVENTS AND MEALS ARE INCLUDED IN YOUR REGISTRATION FEE.

 

Spouse and Member Free Time Possible Options:

A.  Universal Studios - 45 minutes away

B.  Warner Studios behind the scenes - Thurs/Fri 35 minutes away

C.  Biking/Skating/Walking - Santa Monica Beach 30 minutes away

D.  Museum Tours - Getty - 10 minutes away

E. Hammer - 5 minute walk

All events can be reached by 6 passenger cab that will be arranged for you when we know what you plan to do.

Depending on the number of people signing up for each activity, we have found that it will be far more reasonable to use the mini-van cabs and have arranged with one company to reserve needed numbers. IT IS VERY HELPFUL IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU’D LIKE TO DO OR IF YOU HAVE SOMETHING TOTALLY DIFFERENT IN MIND, PLEASE SO INDICATE THAT CHOICE. Transportation costs will be borne by the riders so the more in each vehicle the lower your cost. 

 

TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS TO THE MEETING 

LAX is the closest to the hotel although Burbank is a choice, but NO van service from Burbank will be arranged by AAGFO. IF we are given airline name and arrival times, we can arrange for a van pickup to the hotel at a cost of about $12.00 per person each way. Cab service each way is about $36.00- $45.00. 

IF YOU ARE COMING FROM AN AREA WHERE OTHER MEMBERS MIGHT BE FROM, IT WOULD HELP TO CLUSTER THOSE ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES, SO TALK WITH YOUR FRIENDS. 

 

SHOULD YOU RENT A CAR? That is up to you. Parking at the hotel is $34/day. HOWEVER- we have found a parking garage 1 block walk from the hotel with in and out daily privileges for $14/day.
